If you would like to contribute to the John Rogers Care Closet, you can drop items either:
1. at the John Rogers Otter Family Center during school hours. Please sign in at the office and then bring donations to the Otter Family center across the hall. Please have donations in labeled boxes or bags.
2. at Care Closet coordinator Lindsay's house. There is a covered bin on her porch labeled JRE Care Closet donations (email johnrogerspta@gmail.com for address).

🚺 - Menstrual pads and tampons
CLOTHING
Seasonally appropriate (gently used or new) - medium, large, and XL kids' sizes are most needed
🧦 - Socks - all kids sizes - especially thick / warm
🧤- Warm hats and gloves
🩲 - Underwear - boys & girls, all sizes
☔️ - Rain coats & winter coats (all sizes)
FOOD
💳 - Grocery store gift cards (Safeway, Grocery Outlet, Target, QFC)
🍚 - Rice
🍊 - Canned fruit (lower sugar option preferred)
🥣 - Cereal (lower sugar option preferred)
🥜 - Peanut butter (lower sugar option preferred)
🧃 - Kid-friendly food & snacks like boxed mac 'n cheese, granola bars, apple sauce, and crackers.

🛍️ - New or CLEAN used grocery bags (plastic & paper)
and Multi-use tote bags
Food & personal care items should be new, unopened, and unused. Warm weather clothing should be in new or clean, gently used condition.

The Care Closet in the JRE Otter Resource Center is a warm, welcoming space stocked by the JRE PTA where students and their families can pick up everyday essentials—free of charge. Whether it's a warm coat, a new game or puzzle, or help with essential supplies, the Resource Center is here to support your family with care and respect.
We offer a variety of helpful items, including:
Clean, gently used clothing for kids and adults
Hygiene items like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and more
School supplies like pencils, notebooks, and backpacks
Seasonal items like winter coats, hats, and gloves
Games and puzzles for the whole family
Books for kids, including board books for babies/toddlers, picture books for young kids, and chapter books for older readers
We're here to help make sure every child feels ready and supported—every day.

Support the John Rogers Elementary Community by donating new or gently used clothing & hygiene products to our Care Closet. We are currently seeking donations of
Grocery store gift cards (Safeway, QFC, Target, Amazon or Wal-Mart)
NEW - toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine care products, combs, and hairbrushes.
NEW or GENTLY USED - Cold Weather Accessories such as gloves, hats, and scarves .
NEW or GENTLY USED - kid-sized swim suits, towels, and googles for our swim program.
You can bring your Care Closet donations during school hours to the Front Office or coordinate your donation by reaching out to johnrogerspta@gmail.com.
