The Otter Resource Center will be hosting a drop-in time for JRE families during Conference Week on Tuesday, 11/25 from 9 – noon to pick up needed warm clothes, food, grocery gift cards, and personal care items from the Care Closet. Amy McCue, school social worker, will be hosting this event. Come enjoy coffee and morning treats and use our family center. All are welcome!
If you would like to contribute ahead of this event, you can drop items either:
1. at the John Rogers Otter Family Center during school hours. Please sign in at the office and then bring donations to the Otter Family center across the hall. Please have donations in labeled boxes or bags.
2. at Care Closet coordinator Lindsay's house. There is a covered bin on her porch labeled JRE Care Closet donations (email johnrogerspta@gmail.com for address).

Food & personal care items should be new, unopened, and unused. Warm weather clothing should be in new or clean, gently used condition.
The Care Closet in the JRE Otter Resource Center is a warm, welcoming space stocked by the JRE PTA where students and their families can pick up everyday essentials—free of charge. Whether it's a warm coat, a new game or puzzle, or help with essential supplies, the Resource Center is here to support your family with care and respect.
We offer a variety of helpful items, including:
Clean, gently used clothing for kids and adults
Hygiene items like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and more
School supplies like pencils, notebooks, and backpacks
Seasonal items like winter coats, hats, and gloves
Games and puzzles for the whole family
Books for kids, including board books for babies/toddlers, picture books for young kids, and chapter books for older readers
