Students get to raise money for their school! Students will ask for a flat donation that is not based on an amount of activity. Ask friends, family, neighbors, etc. Any donation amount is appreciated! Many employers will match donations. Ask if yours does and double your donation.
Our Goal was to raise $15,000! Total money raised for the Move-a-Thon was $25,602!
The funds we raise directly benefit the students. Money raised will go towards supporting our students, classroom supplies, and enrichment programs.

WHAT IS MOVE-A-THON?
The Move-a-Thon is a PTA sponsored fundraiser that encourages students to ask friends, family & neighbors to “sponsor” them
to participate in the Move-a-Thon.
What Happens at Move-a-Thon? On Wednesday, October 8th the students will head outside for a morning full of fun fitness activities like hula hoops, dancing, jumping jacks, and jogging around the track. They will get stamps for activities they participate in. Every student will receive a Move-a-Thon t-shirt!
What is the money used for? The Move-a-Thon is one of two main PTA fundraisers for the year. The funds will help pay PTA events like the Fall Festival, STEM night, and World Wide Culture Night, for our 5th graders trip to Islandwood, and enrichment program scholarships.

Spread the word to your network of friends & family - have your student make a video to ask for donations or use our pre-built social media templates to share about Move-a-Thon.
These Move-a-Thon templates can be customized with your own words and photos on Canva (requires a free Canva account).

Move-a-Thon graphics to download and share (cannot be edited, Canva not required).
Money can be collected in cash, checks, or online. Please make checks out to
“John Rogers PTA.” Cash and checks can be brought to the John Rogers office and left in the PTA mailbox.
You can also use this Print-at-Home Pledge Sheet to keep track of your donations.
To donate online, click the “Donate” button below and select “Move-a-thon” in the PayPal dropdown. This is a great way for out-of-town friends and family to donate!
